Last Saturday, my husband and I purchased some furniture from my sister. She has exquisite taste in all things decorating and had decided to buy a new couch to go with their newly renovated house. The “old” couch that we purchased from her was a very nice, only 2 years old, high-end leather couch and we were excited to have it and upgrade our living space.
Fast forward several hours into late Saturday evening…I had pulled a muscle in my back. ALL the doors had been removed as we tried several different ways to get the couch in, but couldn’t. I painfully watched my husband and daughters try every which way to the point of exhaustion (I couldn’t help anymore because of my back). Around midnight, we declared that it wasn’t going to work and decided to call it a night.
After sleeping on it, and gaining our sanity again, we decided to hire a professional. I reached out to my friends who I knew could put me in touch with the right people. We needed an expert.
What’s interesting is that the first couple of movers I called asked for pictures, and measurements, but they didn’t think it could be done. The back of the new couch was too high and wouldn’t fit. They had zero confidence in their ability.
However, one of the movers I talked to was different. I explained the obstacles, and they KNEW they could do it. There was no doubt whatsoever. They had tons of experience with maneuvering things and thinking outside the box.
To my amazement, and delighted surprise, they had that couch in the exact room I wanted it within 10 minutes of arriving. They took measurements and knew exactly what to do. They used a different entry, a smaller one in fact, and got it right in. They operated at an expert level.
THIS is the power of using an expert.

I get it. I was once that person. I had success, but not at the level that I really wanted. I struggled in my relationships, which also affected my ability to succeed in my business. I didn’t know how to fix it.
I wanted help, so I consumed a lot of different things that I thought would help me. I read books, went to seminars, listened to podcasts, did affirmations, and it all helped a little, but it didn’t fix my problem. I purchased an endless amount of new programs that promised big things for my business, but none of them really worked. All of these different things were only a bandaid and I needed an expert to see the roadblocks (and remove them) that I couldn't see.
I spent thousands of dollars and years in training. I have streamlined my process to identify the problem, get to the cause, and fix it by pulling it out by its roots so that it doesn’t keep happening, all in 4 hours or less. I wish that I would have known then what I know now. That hiring an expert would have massively leaped me forward both in my relationships and my business.
