Apparently so. Researchers are now investigating the relationship between the bacteria in our gut and how we think and feel. Gut bacteria has been linked to depression, anxiety, and mood swings.
My personal experience with this confirms this. I was born anxious, and struggled with being overstressed, depressed, and mood swings most of my life. All that changed when I focused on my gut. What I didn’t realize then is that it goes both ways. The state of your gut health can affect your thoughts and mood AND how you think can also affect your gut. It’s literally a two way street between the gut and the brain.
